Video Transcript
Hey everybody, just wanted to share a recent project that we’ve been involved in. It was a dead oak tree, in quite a sensitive sort of area.
So we had to use a crane for this particular job. Part of the reason was we didn’t want to risk the climber Craig with the shock loads of the rigging, so a crane was the best decision for this project.
Also it’s quite an ornamental garden, some nice features, et cetera, in the grounds and the lawn itself has also got an irrigation system.
Crane Arriving
So I’ll just start the video and just show you what we were doing. So Craig has just got his line up, we’ve got the crane coming in there. That was hired in from Quinto Cranes. It’s just a beautiful setting. So all the lines are up and all the rigging lines are ready to go.
And it’s just basically just waiting for the access to the crane. So we’ll go on to the next slide. And here we’ve just got the crane in position.
First Piece of Oak Tree Removal
This piece here is just going to be rigged off. I’ve muted the sound on that, just to eliminate the chainsaw noise, but Craig is up there as you can see, he’s up there taking the pieces off, as we go.
So this just enables us to do it in a really, really controlled and safe manner. And that person on the ground is from the crane company.
Top Section of Tree Removed
And you can just see Craig on the limb here. And again, ready to take another piece off. There, again, nice and safe, all smooth. And this is just another section, quite a big top section coming out here. So Craig is in the tree here, as you can see. And then we’re waiting for that manoeuvre.
He’s getting that cut. And we’ll see that piece just, again, really, really controlled and all nice and safely done.
And another piece taken off, as you can see. And you can see in the foreground here as well that the logs are all being stacked up nice and neat.
And again, just down to the barrel now. Craig’s setting the tree with the crane behind. Another section of it coming off. Again, just nice and controlled and just all safe.
As you can see, Craig is having a break. Bless him, he was up there for a while, it was quite intense. I think he had two chainsaws on harness. So on his harness he had two chainsaws. It was quite taxing, quite tiring.
Middle Section of Oak Tree Removal
Here is just the middle section coming out. And then finally, we’ve got the actual lift of the main barrel just finally coming away again, just really nicely safe and controlled, which is really important, for the customer and also for us as well.
Safe Tree Removal
Safety is really, really key. That’s the plus of having qualified and insured and experienced staff. As a company, that’s what we provide.
And that’s just being put into its final position, ready for the wood to be taken away and processed.
Wood Processing
Some of the wood was used for firewood, and others would have been used for shelving and tables, etc. And then we have the photograph of the lift. And then, finally, just the remainder of it.
So yeah, that’s basically just a short video of what we’ve done recently. I hope you enjoyed that. I’m going to be putting some more videos together.
